Ratings Analysis: Hosted by Mayim Bialik, the first installment of the 'Jeopardy! National College Championship' (0.64) was the second-highest rated broadcast on Tuesday night and went a few hundredths higher than the week-ago 'Judge Steve Harvey' (0.60). Though nowhere near the lofty heights that the 'Greatest of All Time' tournament (2.4) reached in 2020, this is still a satisfactory rating for the alphabet network. Later in the evening, 'Abbott Elementary' (0.57, -0.02), 'Black-ish' (0.41, -0.01), and 'Queens' (0.23, -0.07) all declined from their previous episodes. On NBC, the 'Winter Olympics' (1.57, -0.02) fell by just two-hundredths from Monday night. Fox's 'The Real Dirty Dancing' (0.23, +0.01) gained a hundredth from its rotten premiere as 'The Resident' (0.43, -0.04) lost a few ticks in the 8PM slot. CBS's annual 'Super Bowl Greatest Commercials' special (0.47) was almost two-tenths lower than its 2021 broadcast (0.63) and led into reruns of 'FBI' (0.33) and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.35). The CW served up encores of 'Superman & Lois' (0.08) and 'Naomi' (0.04).
Finals Update: '2022 Winter Olympics' (+0.1), 'Abbott Elementary' (+0.1), and 'Super Bowl Greatest Commercials' (+0.1) adjusted up.
