Ratings Analysis: Although it was off the air for nearly three years, CBS's 'Celebrity Big Brother' (0.78) returned in solid shape and topped Wednesday night altogether. The reality spinoff was just about a tenth behind its last episode from February 2019 (0.9) and appeared to give 'The Amazing Race' (0.64, +0.06) and drama 'Good Sam' (0.38, +0.09) a healthy boost. While it likely has not done enough to shed the "flop" label, 'Good Sam' has now posted its highest rating to date. ABC had some success of its own with Valentine's Day-themed episodes of 'The Goldbergs' (0.66, +0.08), 'The Wonder Years' (0.48, +0.08), 'The Conners' (0.58, +0.10), and 'Home Economics' (0.42, +0.07) that improved on the installments from two weeks ago. 'Home Economics' was the only one of the four sitcoms to post a new season high and led into a rising edition of 'The Chase' (0.34, +0.03). Fox's 'Next Level Chef' (0.46, -2.13) did not benefit one bit from airing after the NFC Championship on Sunday and merely tied what it garnered seven days prior. 'I Can See Your Voice' (0.38) remained stable in the 8PM slot. NBC had reruns of 'Chicago Med' (0.39), 'Chicago Fire' (0.35), and 'Chicago PD' (0.36). The CW got the same rating out of 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' (0.12, +0.01) and 'Batwoman' (0.12, +0.02), marking a new season high for both programs.
Finals Update: 'Celebrity Big Brother' (+0.1), 'The Goldbergs' (+0.1), 'The Conners' (+0.1), 'Next Level Chef' (+0.1), and 'Good Sam' (+0.1) adjusted up.
