Ratings Analysis: It was another disappointing night for the '2022 Winter Olympics' (1.37, -0.20) as the NBC telecast of the ceremony lost a full two-tenths on Saturday evening. And while ABC's strong 'Lakers v. Warriors' NBA game (0.92) did not eclipse the 'Olympics', it came dangerously close to an event that used to dominate primetime to a much larger degree. The alphabet network's game was over two-tenths higher than the 'Knicks v. Lakers' match-up from last week (0.67), and the 8PM edition of 'NBA Countdown' (0.28) grew by four-hundredths on a week-to-week basis. On CBS, '48 Hours' (0.28, +0.04) picked up a few hundredths and grew from the reruns of 'Magnum PI' (0.16) and 'Blue Bloods' (0.18) that led into it. Fox went with feeble encores of '9-1-1' (0.14) and 'The Cleaning Lady' (0.12). The CW's 'Great Chocolate Showdown' (0.05) held steady with its previous installment and was followed by a Valentine's Day-themed 'World's Funniest Animals' (0.06).
Finals Update: The '2022 Winter Olympics' (+0.3), 'NBA: Lakers v. Warriors' (+0.3), and the repeat of 'Magnum PI' (+0.1) adjusted up. 'NBA Countdown' (-0.1) adjusted down.
