Ratings Analysis: Though the ceremony continues to trail its 2018 counterpart by anywhere from 60-70%, the '2022 Winter Olympics' (2.01, +0.22) managed to cross the 2.0 threshold for the first time and posted its highest rating thus far. On CBS, '60 Minutes' (0.39, -1.26) completely crumbled, likely due to NBC's dominance and the absence of NFL help. In spite of that, 'Celebrity Big Brother' (0.47, +0.09) picked up a tenth after freefalling for the past two episodes. Repeats of 'The Equalizer' (0.23) and 'SWAT' (0.20) made little noise in the 9PM and 10PM slots respectively. ABC's encores of 'American's Funniest Home Videos' (0.53), 'Celebrity Wheel of Fortune' (0.49), and 'Supermarket Sweep' (0.44) all outrated their original episodes from last week (0.44/0.37/0.34). The 10PM repeat of 'The Rookie' (0.24) was the only show of the lineup to not accomplish this feat. Although they had a strong 'NASCAR' lead-in (0.83), Fox's reruns of 'The Simpsons' (0.30), 'The Great North' (0.20), 'Bob's Burgers' (0.20), and 'Family Guy' (0.27) were at pretty atypical levels. While the 8PM repeat of The CW's 'March' (0.04) was three-hundredths higher than the previous Sunday, 'Two Sentence Horror Stories' (0.03/0.03) declined a good bit from the episodes that aired seven days ago (0.05/0.07).
Finals Update: '2022 Winter Olympics' (+0.1), 'NASCAR' (+0.1), 'Celebrity Big Brother' (+0.1), '60 Minutes' (+0.1), and repeats of 'Celebrity Wheel of Fortune' (+0.1) and 'Family Guy' (+0.1) adjusted up.
