Ratings Analysis: On a Saturday night without 'SNL', the '2022 Winter Olympics' (1.79) led NBC to another effortless victory. This rating was about two-tenths lower than Friday's opening ceremony (1.97) but proved to be a significant improvement on Thursday's lackluster broadcast (1.24). ABC's 'Knicks v. Lakers' NBA game (0.67) came nowhere near the level of the 'Olympics' but was the only other telecast to go higher than a 0.24 in the Adults 18-49 demographic. 'NBA Countdown' (0.24) remained meager in the 8PM slot but still bested Fox's feeble 'PBC Boxing' (0.19). After 'Boxing', Fox aired a repeat of 'The Cleaning Lady' (0.10) that was 50% below the one from the previous Saturday (0.20). Whether as a result of stronger competition or terrible lead-in support from encores of 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.16) and 'SWAT' (0.18), CBS's '48 Hours' (0.24, -0.09) fell by nearly a full tenth from its last installment. On the CW, episode two of 'Great Chocolate Showdown' (0.05, -0.04) dropped by four-hundredths from its week-ago debut. Repeats of 'World's Funniest Animals' (0.04/0.04) inched down from there.
Finals Update: '2022 Winter Olympics' (+0.3), 'NBA: Knicks v. Lakers' (+0.4), 'PBC Boxing' (+0.1), and the repeat of 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (+0.1) adjusted up. 'NBA Countdown' (-0.1) adjusted down.
