Grand Crew has received some grand news, as NBC has renewed the show for a second season. Grand Crew was far from a ratings success for NBC in its first season, averaging 0.31 in the 18-49 demographic and ranking as one of NBC's lowest-rated series. However, NBC has recently had a habit of giving a second chance to lower-rated scripted freshmen comedies, and it is continuing to do so here. The show is executive produced by Dan Goor, who co-created the Fox-turned-NBC police sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine for NBCUniversal. Nicole Beer, Echo Kellum, Justin Cunningham, Aaron Jennings, Carl Tart and Grasie Mercedes comprise the series' principal cast.
