Mr. Mayor Canceled After Two Seasons

Mr. Mayor has been recalled, as NBC has opted to cancel its political workplace comedy after two seasons. This comes after a season of heavy ratings declines, with the show having shed over 40% of its first-season audience. It was the network's lowest-rated comedy this season, trailing Kenan and Grand Crew by two hundredths (0.29 to 0.31). The show was said to be a strong streaming performer, and is created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, but could not overcome the low first-run ratings. Ted Danson, Holly Hunter, Bobby Moynihan, Vella Lovell and Kyla Kenedy starred in the series. The series finale will air May 17th, wrapping a twenty-episode run.
