George Lopez is returning to broadcast television. NBC has handed a series order to Lopez vs. Lopez, a family sitcom starring the comedy legend and his daughter, Mayan Lopez. The series is said to be a working-class comedy about dysfunction, reconnection and all the pain and joy in between. Selenis Leyva, Brice Gonzales and Matt Shivley will co-star in the series, which is a multi-camera project. Bruce Helford, who co-created the ABC George Lopez series with Lopez, will executive produce.
