Fox's #1 show has finally been confirmed to return, as the network has renewed 9-1-1 just hours after its spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Star. 9-1-1 will enter its sixth season. Ryan Murphy's first responder drama has been a top performer for Fox since premiering, but its future remained in doubt following some difficult renewal negotiations between Fox and 20th TV. Any fears of a shock cancellation can now be put to rest as the deal for the show closed just before Fox's Upfront presentation today. 9-1-1 stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kennth Choi and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
