Monday TV Ratings 5/2/22: American Idol Slips for Reunion Special, NCIS and Bob Hearts Abishola Rise, Shark Tank Slightly Up on Special Night, 9-1-1 Leads (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: ABC's 'American Idol: The Great Idol Reunion' special (0.68) was four-hundredths lower than last Monday's 'Idol' and failed to top the evening like it often does. An out-of-timeslot 'Shark Tank' (0.53) and rising 'Good Doctor' (0.41, +0.02) filled out the remainder of the night for the alphabet network. CBS saw major improvements as 'NCIS' (0.55, +0.12) and 'Bob Hearts Abishola' (0.52, +0.08) posted strong gains while 'The Neighborhood' (0.62, +0.03) and 'NCIS: Hawai'i' (0.43, +0.04) grew at more modest rates. 'American Song Contest' (0.28, +0.01) picked up a hundredth on NBC as 'The Endgame' (0.20, -0.04) slipped for its finale. Fox's '9-1-1' (0.70, +0.02) rose by two-hundredths and was also the highest-rated program of the night. Despite that rise, '9-1-1: Lone Star' (0.51, -0.11) dropped by more than a full tenth. On the CW, 'All American' (0.12, -0.02) shed two-hundredths as 'All American: Homecoming' (0.10) tied its week-ago delivery.
