Big Sky: Everyone who has read my renew/cancel columns this year knows how undecided I've been regarding the future of Big Sky. While I'm of the opinion that it's an unsalvageable flop that wasted all of its ratings potential midway through season one, I can also see that ABC is clearly trying to make work. It's wasting the post-Grey's Anatomy time slot (a slot that is admittedly far less desirable than it used to be), and is rating in-line with other 10 PM flops like A Million Little Things and Queens. However, ABC has very few drama pilots in contention for next season, with only three in development for fall contention. That suggests, to me, that they are planning on moving ahead with most of the dramas currently on the schedule. With Queens seemingly destined for cancellation, that's one slot already filled by a new drama. I think the lack of options among new pilots will lead to Big Sky receiving a reprieve, especially since streaming numbers are relatively decent. While a cancellation can still happen, and would be deserved, I'm betting against that as of now. It LEANS RENEWAL.

The Goldbergs: Since our last column two weeks ago, ABC ordered a tenth season of The Goldbergs, the venerable 80s-set sitcom that has long anchored Wednesday nights. Despite having heavy doubts about the show continuing earlier in the season, I ended up being certain of its renewal, and this is a correct prediction.

What do you think of my predictions? What are your predictions? Let us know in the comments and vote in the poll of the week!
