Queens Canceled by ABC

That's a rap on Queens. ABC's music drama will be one and done, with its cancellation officially being announced today. Despite a high-rated Bachelorette lead-in, the series never really found an audience, starting with a weak 0.36 in the 18-49 demo. Later on in its run, things got downright disastrous, with multiple 0.2s, ultimately leading to a 0.28 seasonal average. That made it one of ABC's lowest-rated comedies, rating ahead of only veteran drama A Million Little Things (which had a much lower lead-in for much of its run) and Promised Land. Brandy, Eve, Naturi Naughton and Nadine Velazquez starred in the series as the fictional music group "the Nasty Bitches," alongside Taylor Sele and Pepi Sonuga. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.

Also officially canceled today is Promised Land, which ABC pulled from its schedule after just a few episodes earlier this season. It wrapped up its run on Hulu and will not return there.
