JACK and NOAH are in their apartment questioning their future in television.
JACK
Working As A Family’s been pulled from the schedule.
NOAH
You’ve been saying that.
JACK
I figured maybe if I said it enough times, it would sound real.
NOAH
We have to accept it. Now if only we had any other opportunities. Let’s think…who do we know?
JACK
Mark?
NOAH pauses.
NOAH
You know what? We’ve never actually been officially on bad terms with Mark, have we?
JACK
Well…
NOAH
I mean, REAL bad terms.
JACK
I guess not.
NOAH
We should work for Mark! We get paid and we get to stay in the industry.
JACK
At this point I’ll try anything. Let’s call him.
JACK reaches for his phone and calls MARK.
JACK
Hey Mark! Remember me?
MARK
Uh…
JACK
It’s Jack. Co-creator of Working As A Family.
MARK
Oh the show that got pulled? Yeah, sucks to be you.
JACK
You’re looking for people to work for your show, right?
MARK doesn’t respond.
JACK
We’d be awesome writers for your show. We all know who the characters are based on, after all.
MARK
Eh, whatever. I could do anything and it’d remain a hit. I gotta go now.
MARK hangs up.
NOAH

JACK
