This fall's top new series has already secured a second season. Sci-fi drama La Brea, which debuted to strong ratings in late September and has continued to retain The Voice well, averaging a 0.60 in its first seven episodes. The series, about a sinkhole in Los Angeles that sends its characters back in time to a prehistoric era, stars Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken, Jon Seda, Nicholas Gonzalez, Karina Logue, Zyra Gorecki, and Chike Okonkwo. Its ten-episode first season, which filmed in Australia, will wrap on November 30. It is the first new series of the 2021-22 TV season to be renewed, and is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
