It's not just a fantasy, Fox has actually renewed summer drama Fantasy Island for a second season. The show aired it first eight-episode season this August and September. It was not a ratings success, averaging just a 0.30 in the demo, but was reportedly cheap to film and an internal favorite at the network. The show's premiere notably rated higher than either of Fox's new fall dramas this season (The Big Leap and Our Kind Of People). Roslyn Sanchez and Kiara Barnes star in the series, which featured guest appearances from numerous Fox stars including Bellamy Young (of the now-canceled Prodigal Son), Leslie Jordan (of Call Me Kat) and Debbi Morgan (of Our Kind of People). In addition to the season two pickup, the show will also air a two-hour holiday special this year, which was announced months before. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
