The Bold Type Renewed by Freeform For Seasons 2 AND 3

Freeform has renewed its modestly rated freshman series The Bold Type for a second and third season. The show, which stars Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, and Meghann Fahy, averaged a 0.15 in its first season. The double renewal comes as a bit of a surprise, considering the mediocre ratings, but most of Freeform has mediocre ratings, anyway. The series is set to undergo a showrunner change for the new seasons.
