NBC's 'Blindspot' (0.7) opened its third season on a new series low. It was a far cry from its year-ago debut (1.5) and still pretty far away from last year's finale (0.9). Nevertheless, the move to Fridays was always going to hurt it, so this result was expected. The veteran drama led into an original 'Dateline' (0.9) which was up two-tenths from last week.

ABC's 'Inhumans' (0.5) got back a precious tenth after last year's disastrous collapse. It was surrounded by 'Once Upon a Time' (0.5) and '20/20' (0.5), both were steady with last week's miserably low results.

CBS had a 'Michael Jackson Halloween' special at 8 (1.1). It easily beat out the average 'MacGyver' result and was the top non-sports program of the night. At 9, 'Hawaii Five-0' took the night off for an out-of-timeslot 'MacGyver' airing (0.8). The latter was steady with last week. At 10, 'Blue Bloods' (0.9) also matched last week.

FOX's line-up was preempted in favor of game 3 of the World Series (3.4). It was down five tenths from yesterday.

The CW had another helping of 0.2s from their dramedy line-up.
