Jane the Virgin: I'm going to have a slight disagreement over Jane the Virgin this season, if readers do know. After Jane's 0.2 A18-49 rating last night, I have decided to downgrade the show to "leans cancelation". Ratings like these are not entirely bad for Friday, but The Originals was much higher in raw last season and got renewed for a fifth and final season. The only other reason why The Originals got renewed was that the CW couldn't cancel two Julie Plec shows in one season. It also depends on whether Charmed is getting piloted. If that happens, Jane is most likely done. Jane is also in season 4, at the typical point where CW shows get canceled. It also has a shortened episode order of 17 episodes. However, as we've seen with the renewal of The Originals last season, that 70-80 episode mark is only an indicator for ultra low rated shows. A 0.4 for the CW is not low rated in today's terms. That's around 40% of the projected league average, which will most likely be around a 1.0 A18-49 rating this season. With Dynasty being fully produced and distributed by CBS Studios, that may also be a negative factor in Jane's fate.
Arrow and Supernatural: After two weeks, I have decided to upgrade both Arrow and Supernatural to "certain to be renewed". The Thursday night duo pulls in solid ratings, and I don't see them going anywhere for at least another season. Fans should rest easy.
That is all for your predictions. Let's discuss in the comments below!
