Dancing With the Stars Season 25 Episode 8 Review

It's Halloween Week on Dancing With the Stars! All of the stars will be dancing to the creepiest songs, which is always fun. I love Halloween and the music of the holiday, so I'm really excited for tonight, and I have been for weeks.

Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas -
I think this dance has taught us something: Lindsey Stirling is a liar. By the looks of this dance, you couldn't tell that she was in excruciating pain. This was a great dance that was still better than most of the night's other dancers.
My Score: 9

Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson -
Frankie's dance from last week was a disappointment, but he really stepped up his game this week. This dance was phenomenal, and it more than made up for last week's disappointing dance. I was super impressed by this, and I'm hoping he keeps it up next week.
My Score: 10

Vanessa Lachey and Maks Chmerkovskiy -
This was a step down from last week's dance, which I thought was fantastic, but it was still pretty solid. It was a bit disappointing, but it wasn't the worst of the night. I wish she would have gotten the chance to return for another dance, but alas...
My Score: 8

Drew Scott and Emma Slater -
Drew's dance last week was a bit of a hot mess, but this was really good. I honestly didn't even notice that they fell, so it didn't ruin anything for me. The dance was just really fun and I'm glad to see him recover after a rough week.
My Score: 9

Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke -
I was wowed by Terrell's dance last week, but this just didn't thrill me. It was a bit boring. I love when he does fast, fun dances, and this just wasn't it. It's not really his fault, but the dance was just a bit bland.
My Score: 8

Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy -
I enjoyed this dance, though it was a bit forgettable. It wasn't amazing, but it was still quite solid. Definitely better than the Paso from last week, but still not quite on par with her dance from Disney week. Either way, I'm rooting for her.
My Score: 9

Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev -
Nikki had two great weeks, and unfortunately this wasn't great. It was pretty fun, but I was underwhelmed. It didn't have the energy of her two latest dances, and I was really disappointed. Especially since they danced to one of my favorite Halloween songs.
My Score: 8

Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold -
This was great. But can you really expect anything less from Jordan at this point? It really embodied the Halloween spirit and was just flawless. And I'm happy to not see any funny business in regards to Len's score this week.
My Score: 10

Team Monster Mash:
With the two best dancers on the team, this should have easily been the better team dance. It was not. It certainly was fun, and a true delight to watch. But perfect it was not.
My Score: 9

Team Phantom of the Ballroom:
On the other hand, this WAS flawless. It was truly one of the best team dances I've ever seen. And it was the so-called "underdog" team. I was floored by just how great this was, which makes my score even easier.
My Score: 10

Superlatives:
Dancers of the Night: Frankie & Witney
Honorable Mention: Team Phantom of the Ballroom

Worst of the Night: Terrell & Cheryl
(Dis)Honorable Mention: Nikki & Artem

Wrap-Up-
This was a fun episode, and I really enjoyed the costumes and Halloween themes. The dances were all perfectly spooky, even if they weren't technically perfect. The eliminations this week were highly suspect, but it's not anything to fault the show for.
My Score: 9/10
My Grade: A-
