Key:
(P) - Premiere
(R) - Repeat

On a night of two premieres, FOX had the upper-hand with the series premiere of The Mick (2.4). It managed to retain a good bit of its OT (3.5) lead-in and tied September's Son of Zorn premiere with a much smaller lead-in. It isn't clear if it will do well on Tuesdays with a meager New Girl lead-in, but for now, this is a promising data point. The Mick led into the 1-hour winter finale of Brooklyn Nine-Nine (1.4/1.2). While it didn't have amazing retention from The Mick, it's a season high for Nine-Nine as it leaves the grid until spring. FOX installed a Family Guy repeat (0.9) to cap off the night.

CBS had the unluckier of two newbies as Ransom (0.9) bombed out the gate losing a ton of its 60 Minutes (1.7) lead-in, the latter of which had a nice lead-in from NFL Football (2.1). There weren't very high expectations for Ransom as it moves to Saturdays and had the weaker football game, but starting in the zeros means it's going to have a rough time making a case for renewal. CBS ended the night with a burn-off of Pure Genius (0.8) which didn't perform too differently then what it would do on Thursdays, and a repeat of NCIS: Los Angeles (0.6).

If ABC expected their Sundays to improve without the dramas weighing them down they were very much mistaken as To Tell The Truth (0.7) premiered to a flat-out new low, going well below the 1.0-1.1 levels it was hitting in the summer. Truth didn't have much lead-in help with an underwhelming Bachelor special (0.8) leading into it, but after all that promotion this result is extremely disappointing. Conviction (0.4) bombed even harder, though that is to be expected since it has never done well in the first place. There was some better news at 7 as America's Funniest Home Videos (1.0) did well and in line with its usual results.

NBC was the obvious winner of the night with Football Night in America (2.3) leading into a pregame (4.9) and SNF (6.7).
