Thursday night marked the return of TGIT on ABC, Riverdale's series premiere, a Mary Tyler Moore special, and the finale of Pure Genius. ABC easily won the night, with Grey's and How to Get Away With Murder hitting season highs and Scandal returning higher than last season's finale. Riverdale's premiere on The CW didn't go over great, but it did start higher than Frequency's premiere. Supernatural, which premiered in a new time slot, returned even with its midseason finale. CBS' comedies took the night off, but they aired the finale of Pure Genius and a Mary Tyler Moore special. Both received little interest. Fox once again had an underwhelming episode of My Kitchen Rules, and a solidly rated episode of Hell's Kitchen.
Finals Update: Scandal (-0.1) and My Kitchen Rules (-0.1) adjusted down. A Chicago Med repeat (+0.1) adjusted up.
