The Moodys Canceled After Two Seasons

Over a month after pulling the show from their schedule, Fox has decided to officially cancel The Moodys after two seasons. The show, which began as a Christmas-themed event series before being renewed for a second season, drew low ratings for the network with just a 0.27 average in the five episodes it aired before being pulled. That's a 47% decline from its first season, when it was already one of the network's lowest-rated shows. The series returned on June 6th and had its worst performance yet, garnering a miserable 0.14 in the Adults 18-49 demographic and falling behind every non-CW program. Unlike in season one, they won't tolerate these abysmal first-run ratings, as the show completely failed its second chance. Denis Leary, Elizabeth Perkins, Francois Arnaud, Jay Baruchel and Chelsea Frei starred in the series, which will return this summer to wrap its short run. The series finale is set to air on Sunday, June 20th, the same evening as fellow canceled series 'Bless the Harts'. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
