Paramount Plus Renew/Cancel: iCarly Tops The Chart

Below is a table of audience demand multipliers as reported by Parrot Analytics for Paramount Plus’ original series, Viacom’s streaming service. A 1.0 multiplier is the average for all shows past and present, and is updated on a rolling 30-day basis. The numbers seen in this table are as reported on June 17, 2021. iCarly
There certainly is demand for a revival of Nickelodeon’s iCarly. Time between the end of the original series and the start of the revival was rather short compared to most revivals on television, so Viacom did not have to worry so much as to if original fans would have forgotten about the show by now. It currently has a higher U.S. audience demand multiplier than any other original on Paramount+, cementing its start as a Renewal Predicted.

Why Women Kill
Why Women Kill currently rounds out the top five on Paramount Plus. Having premiered two weeks ago, the multiplier is only bound to go up in the next couple weeks. It’s closing in on the Star Trek franchise and has international appeal, leaving me to predict there will be a Season 3.

Rugrats
Rugrats did not get much of an audience demand bounce when it premiered. Its premiere probably didn’t disappoint Viacom, but it demonstrates that some (not all) of the show’s original fans may have moved on. Still, it appears to be healthier than Kamp Koral, the show it’s performance is most likely to be compared to. As a side note, the original Rugrats seems to have moved up the list on the Nickelodeon section, indicating there is some newfound interest there. It remains a Renewal Predicted.

No Activity
It’s been almost a month since the fourth season of No Activity finished airing, with barely any increase in audience demand despite (or maybe because of) the switch to animated form. If it’s renewed, there are clearly very low standards for it. I’m predicting a cancelation.

Coming Up
New seasons of The Good Fight and Evil (coming over from CBS) premiere within the next week, both hailing from the same creators.
