Summer Renew/Cancel - July 16: American Gothic is Certain to be Canceled

It's week nine, and this was a slower week. The only big thing to occur this week in regards to these summer shows is that BrainDead will be moving to Sundays.

Format for predictions:
Show title (network) (average 18-49 rating, season low-season high)

Certain to be Canceled
American Gothic (CBS) (0.6, 0.5-0.7)
Aquarius (NBC) (0.4, 0.4-0.4)
BrainDead (CBS) (0.5, 0.4-0.7)
Houdini & Doyle (FOX) (0.5, 0.4-0.7)
Mistresses (ABC) (0.7, 0.4-0.8)

Likely to be Canceled

Toss-Up
Wayward Pines (FOX) (0.7, 0.7-0.9)

Likely to be Renewed
The Night Shift (NBC) (1.0, 0.8-1.2)
Zoo (CBS) (0.8, 0.8-0.8)

Certain to be Renewed

Fate Determined
Beauty and the Beast (CW) FINAL SEASON
Uncle Buck (ABC) CANCELED

American Gothic: After dropping another tenth this week, American Gothic confirmed its fate. Zoo is rating much better, so there is no need for CBS to keep this low rated show around.

BrainDead: After earning an unimpressive 0.4 this week, CBS has decided to move BrainDead to Sundays. While usually low-rated shows get moved to Saturdays, Sunday is still a lesser viewed night. I have seen some speculate that they are trying to help BrainDead by airing it after Madam Secretary reruns, and on the same night as Big Brother, but the Madam Secretary reruns score so low that it is unlikely to rate any higher on Sunday than on Monday.

Aquarius: This show has surprised me in two ways. One, it has stayed even at 0.4. Two, it has not been moved to Saturdays. However, despite both of these things, it is still

The Night Shift: This show was up a tenth to a season high this week, though it may have had some help from America's Got Talent, which served as its lead-in. I've been talking about moving this one up for a while now, but this week is not the week.
