Saturday TV Ratings 3/5/22: Saturday Night Live Stumbles to Series Low, NBA Leads Primetime, Winter Paralympics Low (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Neither host Oscar Issac nor musical guest Charli XCX could save NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' (0.81, -0.05) from sinking to a new series low. Earlier in the evening, the peacock network had a low-rated edition of the '2022 Winter Paralympics' (0.17), a rerun of 'Dateline' (0.22), and 'SNL Vintage' (0.31). On ABC, the 'Warriors v. Lakers' NBA game (0.79) was almost two-tenths higher than the 'Nets v. Bucks' match-up (0.61) from the week prior. The 8PM 'NBA Countdown' broadcast (0.26) was three-hundredths below the week-ago installment. CBS's encores of 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.18) and 'Bull' (0.18) led into an episode of '48 Hours' (0.29, +0.06) that was six-hundredths higher than its last outing. Fox's 'MLS Soccer' broadcast (0.15) was two-hundredths above the previous week. On the CW, 'Great Chocolate Showdown' (0.06, +0.01) and 'World's Funniest Animals' (0.06, +0.02) improved by one-hundredth and two-hundredths respectively. The 9:30PM 'Funniest Animals' rerun (0.07) somehow outrated both.

Finals Update: 'NBA: Warriors v. Lakers' (+0.3) and the repeat of 'Bull' (+0.1) adjusted up. The repeat of 'Dateline NBC' (-0.1) adjusted down.
