Law & Order: The revival of Dick Wolf's first of many long-running series, the parent show of current hit SVU, debuted last Thursday with a solid, if unexceptional, 0.74 in the demo. That's less than half of what the highly-anticipated Benson/Stabler reunion drew on the night of Law & Order: Organized Crime's premiere in April 2021, but still enough to make it the #2 "new" series debut this season, only behind La Brea. I'm beating a dead horse here, but I'll say again that revivals tend to slip more than the average show does after its premiere episode. That means you can probably expect 0.5s in the very near future for Law & Order. That's probably not what NBC was hoping for when they brought back such an iconic series, but it's not anything to take for granted, either. It's better than the 0.3s that The Blacklist was doing in the slot earlier this season. I can't imagine NBC risking upsetting Dick Wolf by canceling the revival of his signature series after only a single season, especially when it's so clear that NBC wants an all-Law & Order night. It's too early to be certain of anything, but Law & Order is a very LIKELY RENEWAL from the start.

What do you think of my predictions? What are your predictions? Let me know in the comments and vote in the poll of the week!
