CBS Schedulogy: Will CBS Launch An All-New Monday Night?

Welcome to a new edition of CBS Schedulogy. With just one month left before CBS announces their fall 2026 TV schedule, it's time for an updated prediction on the schedule they will unveil. Let us know what you think in the comments!

Monday - CBS's fall schedule contains two new comedies and two new dramas, all of which air on a fully retooled Monday night. The night starts off with historical multi-cam comedy The Tillbrooks (f.k.a. Regency), leading into vampire comedy Eternally Yours from the showrunners of Ghosts. Dramedy Einstein, revolving around the great-grandson of Albert Einstein, takes the 9 pm slot, while Robert and Michelle King's latest drama Cupertino airs at 10 pm. It's a night that arguably mirrors the Thursday night lineup thematically. The vast majority of CBS's promo goes into advertising this night. This has to be a controversial prediction, but with how far in advance CBS ordered Einstein and Cupertino while announcing the end of The Neighborhood, it's quite possible they've been preparing for this for a while.

Tuesday - The all-NCIS night stays intact, keeping in line with the notion of NCIS servicing as a brand for the network. The original show leads off, followed by Origins at 9 and Sydney closing out the night at 10.

Wednesday - Survivor and The Amazing Race are paired up together in the fall once again, cementing Wednesdays as the unscripted night on the fall 2026 schedule.

Thursday - CBS keeps this lineup together in fall 2026, one they have boasted about in press releases before. Rather than use any of these shows to launch similar but new ones, they model a new Monday night from it.

Friday - Sheriff and Fire Country stay together, followed by Boston Blue in Blue Bloods' longtime time slot. Possibly, but not likely, Fire Country moves to 8 with Sheriff Country airing at 9 to try to even out their linear ratings a bit. This is also possible, but not likely, for the NCIS shows.

Sunday - Sunday remains the strongest night on the schedule, with the Marshals and Tracker duo continuing into the fall. The 10 pm slot remains vacant.

Midseason - FBI is held back for midseason. It's announced as slotted in the Sundays at 10 pm time slot, though that only happens if Monday goes as planned and they don't decide to give an underperforming Einstein or Cupertino a try after Tracker in the spring.
