Less than a week after renewing Animal Control, Fox has continued their renewals with a second-season order for Best Medicine, their new medical dramedy. Best Medicine has had a solid run thus far despite an underwhelming post-NFL launch, respectably settling into the Tuesday lead-off slot and averaging 0.25 in the 18-49 demo to-date. The series has also performed well in delayed viewing, with Fox boasting that it averages more than six million viewers in MP+7 viewing, ranking second among the network in that metric. It's the third new show of the season to receive a rental order, after a pair of fall dramas from CBS. Season two is set to run for twelve episodes, down one from season one's thirteen-episode order. The series, based on the UK drama hit Doc Martin, stars Josh Charles, Abigail Spencer, Annie Potts and Josh Segarra. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
