Ratings Analysis: With in-season programming cleared out of the way, 'MasterChef' (0.40, +0.07) was able to grow by a substantial 21% from last week's tepid premiere (0.33) in the Adults 18-49 demographic. That was enough to make the series the highest-rated show of the evening, a rare feat for the struggling Fox network. Though its growth was not nearly as pronounced, 'Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars' (0.29, +0.02) also improved a bit and topped the 9 p.m. hour. Over on the CW, drama 'Nancy Drew' (0.05) returned for its fourth and final season in acceptable shape. The rating was ultimately on-par with its season three finale (0.05) from back in January 2022. At 9, 'Riverdale' (0.08, +0.04) surged to a new season high and doubled its week-ago rating (0.04). ABC's special about 'The 1619 Project' (0.23) was on the softer side and could only tie the reruns of 'Night Court' (0.23/0.23) that NBC scheduled in the same timeslot. NBC went a bit lower in the back-half of the night with encores of 'Chicago Fire' (0.20) and 'Chicago PD' (0.20). CBS had a decent-sized 'FBI: Most Wanted' repeat (0.30) and a modest 'Grammy Salute to the Songs of Paul Simon' (0.20).
