St. Denis Medical has a pulse on NBC, as the Peacock Network has ordered the medical comedy pilot to series. Created by Superstore and American Auto creator Justin Spitzer, St. Denis Medical is a rockumentary-style comedy centering on an underfunded and understaffed Oregon hospital, where passionate doctors and nurses do what they can to treat their patients while trying to stay sane. David Alan Grier, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson and Kahyun Kim star in the series. The news comes as NBC announced the cancellations of veteran comedies Young Rock and Grand Crew, as Spitzer's American Auto remains in limbo.
