Ratings Analysis: With the summer season winding down and the fall premieres on the horizon, there were a whopping six finales on Wednesday evening. The strongest of the bunch was NBC's 'America's Got Talent' (0.73), the reality series gained a tenth when compared to last Wednesday but trailed its Tuesday night performance (0.90). 'Family Game Fight!' (0.42) shed a few hundredths for its 8pm finale. ABC's 'Press Your Luck' (0.57) rose by two-hundredths for its season closer but 'The $100,000 Pyramid' (0.46) lost five-hundredths. A 10pm '20/20' special about poet laureate Amanda Gorman (0.22) retained less than 50% of the 'Pyramid' audience. On CBS, 'Big Brother' (0.86) held at the same rounded rating as the week prior while 'House Calls with Dr. Phil' (0.20/0.15) bowed out in horrific fashion. Fox's 'MasterChef' (0.52) inched down for its 2-hour season finale. 'Riverdale' (0.08) was essentially flat on the CW but was still bested by a pair of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' reruns' (0.09/0.11).
Finals Update: 'Big Brother' (0.9, +0.1), the 'Press Your Luck' finale (0.6, +0.1), the '$100,000 Pyramid' closer (0.5, +0.1), and the second-half of 'House Calls with Dr. Phil' (0.2, +0.1) adjusted up.
