Wednesday TV Ratings 9/8/21: The Women of 9/11 Special Solid on ABC, Big Brother Rises from Sunday’s Low, MasterChef Ticks Up (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: On CBS, 'Big Brother' (0.9) shed a couple hundredths while 'House Calls with Dr. Phil' (0.2) and '48 Hours' (0.2) remained in putrid territory. 'MasterChef' (0.6) picked up a tenth and helped Fox maintain the highest average of the evening. NBC's 'America's Got Talent' (0.6) lost five-hundredths while 'Family Game Fight!' (0.4) was completely unfazed. A 10pm 'Chicago PD' rerun (0.2) was a tenth lower than last Wednesday. Coming a few days before the 20th anniversary of the attacks, ABC's 'Women of 9/11' special (0.5) topped the 9pm hour and built from its 'Press Your Luck' repeat lead-in (0.4). The CW had stable broadcasts of 'Riverdale' (0.1) and 'In the Dark' (0.1).
