EXT. HIGH SCHOOL - DAY
A high school is situated in the northern West Hartford subdivision.
INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY
Terri, while walking to the nearest classroom, stops, as if she is reflecting.
TERRI
Election day, already?
Abigail follows closely behind.
She gives a snarky look.
She walks away.
Natasha enters the scene, and her face expresses wonder.
NATASHA
What is her problem?
Terri then faces Natasha. She shrugs.
TERRI
Beats me. She thinks she has this in the bag.
The intercom goes off.
INTERCOM SPEAKER
Will all freshman please come to the auditorium? All freshman please come into the auditorium!
Terri and Natasha then race into the auditorium.
INT. AUDITORIUM - DAY
The students are gathered in the room.
On the stage, Terri is standing on stage right.
Abigail is on stage left.
A podium is situated in the center of the stage.
MR. VANCE COLEMAN, 50, the principal of the school, walks up to the podium from behind the stage.
MR. COLEMAN
Welcome to the freshman class debates! For the past three weeks, two of your classmates have been working extremely hard for your vote.
A group of students snicker near the back row of the auditorium.
Natasha faces Katie. Her legs and arms are crossed.
NATASHA
You got this, Terri!
Terri then smiles at Natasha from stage right.
INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY
SUPER: FIVE HOURS LATER
Terri walks with Natasha and Katie.
She then runs into Abigail.
Abigail smiles at Terri.
Terri then understandably gets confused.
ABIGAIL
Hey, congratulations, Madame President.
TERRI
Madame President?
ABIGAIL
Yep, you deserve it. Now, go get em’ tiger!
Terri then breathes a sigh of relief.
