Unsurprisingly, Fox has canceled comedy series Rel after its first season. The series starred Lil Rel Howery and Sinbad, and was one of the lowest-rated freshman of the season. However, due to a massive NFL lead-in on the night of its finale, the series appears as if it will have one of the highest-rated finales of any new scripted series this season. Besides that point, the show had a supremely unspectacular run and averaged just a 0.77, lower than previous time slot occupant The Last Man on Earth, despite ending its season in Winter and airing many episodes on nights that Fox had an NFL lead-in.
