The Fix: This was one of the clearer flops of the season, and it lived down to expectations. The first drama series from OJ prosecutor Marcia Clark has been a big flop throughout its three episodes, dropping each week after a 0.7 start. It's now at 0.5, going as low as 0.4 in the 10:30 half-hour. While that (somehow) doesn't put it that far behind the rest of ABC's 10 PM dramas, this show has the least upside of any of them. It has the least episodes, the worst retention, and the best slot of any of the network's current 10 PM dramas. The network also doesn't seem to care about it all that much, giving it far less promos than fellow freshman drama Whiskey Cavalier. It's a CERTAIN CANCELLATION.

Whiskey Cavalier: This show is in an interesting position. Even though it isn't performing very well at all, ABC is pretty much obsessed with it. It's one of their most-promoted shows of all, receiving plentiful promotions all week long. It's unusual treatment for an unowned drama that's gone as low as 0.5, but ABC loving a flop is not completely unprecedented. Last season, For the People received a decent amount of promotion up until its renewal, even though almost everyone rightfully had the show marked for death. I can't help but fear that this show will get the same treatment, so it will start in the LEANS RENEWAL category, even if it doesn't deserve it.

For the People: This is one of the most questionable renewals of last season, and nobody expected the show to become a decent performer this time around. It returned just as low as last season, and all around just looks to be one of the easiest cuts. It's not one of the network's priorities this time around, and isn't promoted as often as many other shows. And with ABC's change in presidents, it's likely that new leadership will want to make their mark and get rid of flops left behind by the old leadership. I don't think For the People has much of a chance, and it'll start as a LIKELY CANCELLATION, though it still has that Shonda Rhimes connection that makes it less dead than it should be.
