NCIS Renewed for Season 17 by CBS

In what may be the most unsurprising piece of news ever, CBS has granted long-running procedural NCIS a 17th season. The series remains a top performer for the network, and is their #1 drama. It has spawned two successful spinoffs, Los Angeles and New Orleans, and was itself a spinoff of JAG. Mark Harmon stars in the series, the second veteran drama renewed by CBS this season (after Criminal Minds). If it has its traditional 24 episode season for Season 17, the show will surpass the 400-episode mark next season. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
