CBS has ordered procedural Instinct: Wyoming to series. The series, a spinoff of the hit show Instinct (currently averaging a 0.94 in Live+Infinity ratings), will focus on a US Representative, who joins forces with her detective father to investigate cases in Wyoming, following the death of his longtime sidekick. The main plot of the first season is the pair investigating why Wyoming is even a state, as they solve various murders, robberies, and small-level crimes that occur in Wyoming. The creators have stated that they already have a multi-episode arc in which the characters travel as far as South Dakota to solve a case that crossed state lines. Liz and Dick Cheney have already been tapped to star in the series, along with nobody else because it wouldn't be believable for a show set in Wyoming to have a cast larger than that. The series will debut on CBS this fall, alongside the already-ordered "Skids and the Walking Guy." Critics have described the show as "the ultimate show for red-state America."
