Last Man Standing Renewed for Season 8

Last Man Standing will continue to be the Last Man Standing from the 2011-12 TV season. The  ABC-turned-Fox Friday night sitcom will be back for season 8 new season, Fox has announced. The series, which stars Tim Allen as an outspoken employee of a sporting goods store, was revived by Fox this season after being canceled by ABC in 2017. The show has been a strong ratings performer on the typically low-rated Fridays, with it and lead-out The Cool Kids consistently giving Fox wins in the Friday at 8 PM hour. The show returned in September with a 1.8 before settling in the low ones/high fractionals, and currently has a 1.13 average with 3 episodes left to air. After enjoying one season of ownership by its network, the show will once again become an unowned property (the main reason it got canned by ABC in the first place) due to 20th Century Fox's acquisition by Disney. Nevertheless, the series was widely considered a certain renewal, and was a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide. Nancy Travis, Christoph Sanders, Hector Elizondo, and Amanda Fuller star in the series.
