To the surprise of nobody, Fox has ordered a second season of megahit freshman reality series The Masked Singer. The series has been a cultural phenomenon, and is currently one of the highest-rated series on broadcast. The show is based on the South Korean series King of Mask Singer, one of the few recent adaptations from the country to be a success (along with last year's The Good Doctor). Nick Cannon hosts the series, and the judging panel consists of Ken Jeong, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy, and Robin Thicke. Though the entire cast has yet to be revealed, previous unveiled contestants have included Tommy Chong, Terry Bradshaw and Margaret Cho.
This was a correct prediction for the TV Ratings Guide's Reality Renew/Cancel, which marked the series as a certain renewal.
