America will continue to have a cartoon president on their TVs for at least one more season. Showtime has renewed their half-hour animated series Our Cartoon President for a second season. The series is based on a recurring segment from CBS's Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and is the one of the only animated series on premium cable. Jeff Bergman lends his voice to a fictionalized version of President Donald Trump, with Emily Lynne providing voices to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and First children Eric & Ivanka Trump, John Viener voicing VP Mike Pence, and James Adomian as US Senator Ted Cruz and Fox News' Sean Hannity. The show has been a poor performer in the L+SD 18-49 ratings for Showtime, and has been critically panned, making this renewal somewhat surprising. The show was marked as a toss-up in our most recent HBO Renew/Cancel. The show has aired 18 episodes over the course of 2018, going as high as 0.12 and as low as 0.02. It most recently aired a midterm election special in November.
