The Neighborhood, Magnum PI & FBI Renewed by CBS

CBS has renewed three freshman series for additional series. Monday sitcom The Neighborhood and drama Magnum PI and Tuesday drama FBI will all be back in 2019-20. The Neighborhood, starring Cedric The Entertainer and Max Greenfield, has been a runaway success for CBS, starting solidly in October and holding incredibly steady since then. It's been one of the only bright spots for an otherwise-ugly Monday lineup. Jay Hernandez's Magnum PI has underperformed in its Monday at 9 slot, but it appears to be an internal favorite, recently airing behind the AFC Championship (and underperforming there as well). FBI has been somewhere between the other two, not lighting the world on fire but remaining a steady and solid network performed in the potent post-NCIS slot. Missy Peregrym and Jeremy Sisto star in the series, created by NBC super-creator Dick Wolf, who is also responsible for the Law & Order and Chicago franchises.

There's no word yet on fellow newbies God Friended Me, Fam, Happy Together, and Murphy Brown.

What do you think of these renewals? Are you surprised by any of them? Will you be tuning in for their next seasons? Let us know in the comments below!
