Monday Broadcast Ratings 5/28/18: Lucifer Ends on Series Low, The Crossing Still Weak After Lower Bachelorette

The Bachelorette premiered four tenths lower than last season in A18-49; on the bright side, only one tenth below Memorial Day 2017's rating. Still, it failed to be the highest-rated show in the time slot, as the NHL's Stanley Cup Game One took that honor.

Bachelorette lead-out The Crossing is as much as a flop now as it was after American Idol, and will not be returning next season. Ironically, it did finish better than last night's episode of Elementary, which supposedly makes CBS tens of millions of dollars due to an overpriced syndication deal. This might not even be the lowest the show ever goes.

Speaking of which, the final two episodes of Lucifer on FOX hit a series low of 0.5, with the finale also hitting a series low in total viewership. This certainly can't help the #SaveLucifer campaign and shows how non-owned programming can be handed a rough deal.

The CW provided pretty typical results, and CBS was in rerun mode with three out-of-time slot shows. All of those time slots will be occupied by new shows in the fall.

Finals Update: The Stanley Cup (+0.1) and the Man With a Plan repeat (+0.1) adjusted up. The Crossing (-0.1) adjusted down.
