CBS has just confirmed what everyone pretty much already knew: 9JKL won't be back for a second season. The multicamera sitcom focused on a man who moves into an apartment between his parents and his brother and sister-in-law. 9JKL premiere behind CBS's #1 show the Big Bang Theory to decent ratings, but it fell apart completely when Big Bang moved back to Thursdays, leaving 9JKL with a much-lower Kevin Can Wait lead-in. This led to the series being swiftly moved to 9:30, with an even lower Superior Donuts lead-in. The show eventually fell as low as 0.7, only working its way out of the fractions once. The show received a small, three-episode backorder before it ended in February 2018 with a 0.96 average. In addition to starring, Mark Feuerstein (Royal Pains) and created the show, along with his wife Dana Klein. Linda Lavin (Alice), Elliott Gould (Friends), David Walton (About a Boy), and Liza Lapira (Don't Trust the B) also starred.
This was a correct prediction for the TV Ratings Guide.
