The Chew Canceled by ABC

Viewers will soon be taking their last bite of The Chew. The long-running daytime talk series will be ending in September after seven seasons. The Chew premiered in September 2011 as a replacement to the canceled ABC soap opera All My Children. The show's five original host remained in place for its first six seasons, before the departure of Daphne Oz. Host Mario Batali was later involved in a sexual misconduct scandal in the aftermath of the #MeToo movement, and was terminated in late 2017. The show will retain original hosts Carla Hall, Michael Symon, and Clinton Kelly until the series finale airs. Throughout its run, the series received positive critical reception, picking up two Emmy awards, with four additional nominations.
