Instinct Scores Second Season on CBS

Instinct, CBS's poorly-rated newbie drama, has recieved a surprising renewal. Alan Cumming and Bojana Novakovik star in the series as a writer who joins forces with the police and his new partner, respectively. The series isn't really a ratings success, premiering to a mediocre 1.0 and going as low as 0.6, but the network clearly sees something in it. Its 0.8 average leaves much to be desired, though it might be an OK choice for midseason filler. The show is notable for being the first broadcast procedural to feature a gay lead character.

What do you think of Instinct's renewal? Is CBS making a mistake? Will you tune in for season two? Let us know in the comments below.
