Life Sentence becomes even more certain to be canceled after hitting a 0.128 A18-49 in unrounded preliminaries. Lower than Dynasty's first unrounded 0.1 range rating. At this point, both shows are in the race to hit the first ever 0.0 on broadcast, and that happens when the unrounded rating is below 0.05 in the key demographic. As the CW goes lower and lower on its average, the gap between the low rated CBS shows and the higher rated WB shows are widening out.

Let's continue with ad rates. The biggest losers in the ad rate pickups are Dynasty and Life Sentence. Given the ad rates, these shows should absolutely do better. But with their current ratings, they are obvious cancelations. I do not think the international sales correlate with low domestic interest. In the case of other CBS produced shows (both on CW and on CBS), having a lucrative deal is not an automatic indicator for renewal no matter how much spin CBS executives can pull. Regardless of how lucrative a deal is, a 0.1 is not a renewable number. It never, ever will be. In addition, Nicollette Sheridan's introduction as Alexis did not make any difference to Dynasty's already abysmal ratings. It adjusted down to a 0.1, meaning there was no week to week increase.

Again, a 0.1 is not a renewable number. That ratings range is only acceptable for the current middle tier on Freeform and on Syfy. Not on a first-run broadcast network. As they are obviously going to continue to decline, I have left Life Sentence at "certain to be canceled" and Dynasty at "likely to be canceled".
