Ratings Analysis: The '2022 World Series' (2.78, +0.18) grew to a new high for game four and was a much stronger performer for Fox when compared to the usual 'Masked Singer'/'LEGO Masters' combo. Over on ABC, 'The Conners' (0.50, -0.06), 'The Goldbergs' (0.39, -0.02), 'Abbott Elementary' (0.50, -0.05), and 'Big Sky' (0.27, -0.04) all slipped. The odd one out here was 9:30PM comedy 'Home Economics' (0.41, +0.02), the 3rd season sitcom inched up to a new season high and grew for the 4th week in a row. CBS's 'Survivor' (0.62, -0.14) tumbled to a new low but was still the highest-rated program aside from the 'World Series'. At 9PM, 'The Amazing Race' (0.36, +0.06) replaced 'The Real Love Boat' (as the latter was shipped to Paramount+) after it completely underwhelmed in the post-'Survivor' timeslot. Needless to say, 'Amazing Race' nearly doubled last week's 'Love Boat' (0.19) and posted its strongest rating since September. At 10, a rerun of 'The Equalizer' (0.20) also bested the last CBS episode of 'Love Boat'. On NBC, 'Chicago Med' (0.58, -0.06), 'Chicago Fire' (0.58, -0.06), and 'Chicago PD' (0.51, -0.09) all took sizable hits. The CW's 'Stargirl' (0.08, -0.01) shed a hundredth while 'Kung Fu' (0.08, +0.02) tied its season high.
Finals Update: 'Survivor' (+0.1), 'Chicago Med' (+0.1), '2022 World Series Game 4' (+0.5), and 'The Amazing Race' (+0.1) adjusted up.
