The Conners: After its 0.4 a few weeks ago, I was fully intending on keeping The Conners at leans renewal for the remainder of the season. The show is expensive, not owned, and sagging in the ratings. However, it was reported last week that ABC is deep in contract negotiations with the cast, and that they fully intend on renewing the show. With a remote possibility that negotiations could fall through, I'm upgrading the show to a LIKELY RENEWAL, despite ratings that would argue placement on the bubble.

Big Sky: Things aren't looking up for Big Sky! After a half-season of excellent ratings, things have gone downhill fast. Its two-hour midseason premiere showed deeply worrying signs when it slipped to a 0.4 in its second hour despite never having gone below a 0.6 before. It's trended downward since then and hit a 0.3 in preliminary ratings for its most recent ratings. It's probably going to get a bona fide 0.3 by season's end, and I can't say I'm certain of a renewal now. When its order was extended, it was said that ABC was expected to renew it if its ratings held up. They haven't. Now, I certainly don't expect a cancellation, as it still seems to perform well on Hulu, but it's underperforming now and my prediction needs to reflect that. It's a LIKELY RENEWAL.

The Good Doctor: Earlier today, ABC ordered a fifth season of the veteran medical drama starring Freddie Highmore. Though ratings are down, this comes as no surprise. It's still a big money-maker for ABC and is one of their highest-rated shows in delayed viewing.

What do you think of my predictions? What are your predictions? Let me know in the comments and vote in the poll of the week!
