Lincoln Rhyme Canceled

This season's only new Friday series has been canceled. NBC's crime drama Lincoln Rhyme had a respectable performance for its inaugural season, but the Sony/Universal co-production didn't do enough to earn a renewal. NBC debuted the series in early January as a midseason placeholder for The Blacklist. It had a surprisingly solid 0.6 start before eventually settling in the 0.4 range. It perked up near the end of the season and tied its series premiere rating for the first half of its two episode finale, ultimately averaging 0.47. Season one was based on the book The Bone Collector, from Jeffrey Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme series. It's presumed that future seasons would have followed different books in that series. Russell Hornsby stars as the titular character, alongside Arielle Kebbel, Michael Imperioli, Brooke Lyons and Roslyn Ruff. This was a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
