Fran Drescher's return to TV has been cut short. NBC has canceled her sitcom Indebted after a single season. The show was NBC's second-lowest-rated new show this season, with its 0.35 average coming in just barely ahead of the quickly-pulled Sunnyside. Indebted was also co-produced and distributed by Sony, meaning that it didn't even have ownership by NBC to try to assist its renewal odds. One episode of the show remains unaired, despite its finale airing on April 16. Adam Pally, Abby Elliott, Steven Weber and Jessy Hodges starred alongside Drescher in the series.
